Welcome to Infinity Dance Cornwall

Infinity Dance Cornwall is the continuation of the former Teresa Blee Dance School, PROUDLY carrying forward its LEGACY. We run our INSPIRING dance and performing arts classes in the Helston and Porthleven areas of Cornwall.

Where CONFIDENCE grows, FRIENDSHIPS FLOURISH, and young people SHINE through the JOY of dance.

At Infinity Dance Cornwall, we believe that dance is about so much more than just steps and technique — it’s a powerful tool for building SELF-ESTEEM, CONFIDENCE, and CONNECTION. We’re PASSIONATE about creating a space where every child feels SEEN, SUPPORTED, and CELEBRATED, a place where they BELONG.

Our classes are designed to be FUN, INSPIRING, and NURTURING, helping children GROW not only as dancers but as INDIVIDUALS. Through expert training, exciting performance OPPORTUNITIES, and a strong sense of COMMUNITY, we help every student unlock their fullest POTENTIAL, and take their next steps on and off the stage.

Whether your child is taking their very first dance class or dreaming of a future in the performing arts, Infinity Dance Cornwall is a place to THRIVE, have FUN, and feel at HOME.

Our Classes

Budding Beginners

Devised by the Royal Academy of Dance, we offer a beginner’s ballet class suitable for children between the ages of two and a half and four and a half. We ensure these ballet classes are a fun way of learning to dance: these classes will typically have a theme or storyline to help engage the children and help them feel involved. These classes develop physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality using a range of movements and musical styles. This class also introduces pupils to basic tap steps.

Contemporary

This is based on the ISTD Contemporary Syllabus and aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals and vocabulary of contemporary technique as well as improvisation. Contemporary dance combines the strong and controlled leg work of ballet with the technique of modern. It works very well alongside ballet classes.

Ballet

Following the syllabus devised by the Royal Academy of Dance, our ballet classes consist of: classical ballet, free movement and character. Our graded classes are taught from pre-primary all the way to Grade 8. At approximately Grade 4 level, selected children are given the opportunity to study the syllabus of Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate Ballet and Advanced Foundation. This is designed for students who wish to have a career in dance.

Tap

Considered one of the most enjoyable forms of dance, tap is an essential skill for professional dancers to have. We teach tap classes from Beginners to Intermediate following the syllabus devised by The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.

Modern Theatre Dance

At Infinity Dance Cornwall, we offer our modern theatre dance classes to students from Primary to Intermediate. Modern is a rhythmic dance style often seen on the stages of musical productions and is known for its theatrical qualities. If you are planning to go into the dance profession, we suggest you participate in our Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate classes which we offer.

Adult Classes

We offer classes in tap and ballet for adults. Catering for complete beginners, those who did classes as a child as well as those with a bit more experience. These are a great way of keeping the brain active as well as keeping fit and flexible and are an excellent way of meeting like-minded friends. In addition to our weekly classes, optional trips to the theatre are regularly arranged.

We have teachers registered with the RAD and ISTD accredited examination boards and can prepare and enter students for ballet, tap and modern exams and awards.

RAD Ballet

Following the RAD syllabus where children can work towards their ballet exam receiving a certificate, medal and UCAS points. Exams start from the pre-primary level with Character work introduced from Grade 1 looking at Russian, Polish and Hungarian styles and followed through until Grade 8. Vocational exams are offered to those who would like to gain more from their classes and pointe work is demonstrated within the exam syllabus.

ISTD Tap & Modern

Following the ISTD syllabus where children can work towards an exam receiving a certificate along with UCAS points. The tap syllabus is fun and challenging for all students with the modern working on limbering, style and technique.

These are not compulsory and we will make sure students and parents are comfortable before entering for an exam.
