Our classes are designed to be FUN, INSPIRING, and NURTURING, helping children GROW not only as dancers but as INDIVIDUALS. Through expert training, exciting performance OPPORTUNITIES, and a strong sense of COMMUNITY, we help every student unlock their fullest POTENTIAL, and take their next steps on and off the stage.

Our Classes
Budding Beginners
Devised by the Royal Academy of Dance, we offer a beginner’s ballet class suitable for children between the ages of two and a half and four and a half. We ensure these ballet classes are a fun way of learning to dance: these classes will typically have a theme or storyline to help engage the children and help them feel involved. These classes develop physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality using a range of movements and musical styles. This class also introduces pupils to basic tap steps.
Contemporary
This is based on the ISTD Contemporary Syllabus and aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals and vocabulary of contemporary technique as well as improvisation. Contemporary dance combines the strong and controlled leg work of ballet with the technique of modern. It works very well alongside ballet classes.
Ballet
Following the syllabus devised by the Royal Academy of Dance, our ballet classes consist of: classical ballet, free movement and character. Our graded classes are taught from pre-primary all the way to Grade 8. At approximately Grade 4 level, selected children are given the opportunity to study the syllabus of Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate Ballet and Advanced Foundation. This is designed for students who wish to have a career in dance.
Tap
Considered one of the most enjoyable forms of dance, tap is an essential skill for professional dancers to have. We teach tap classes from Beginners to Intermediate following the syllabus devised by The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.
Modern Theatre Dance
At Infinity Dance Cornwall, we offer our modern theatre dance classes to students from Primary to Intermediate. Modern is a rhythmic dance style often seen on the stages of musical productions and is known for its theatrical qualities. If you are planning to go into the dance profession, we suggest you participate in our Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate classes which we offer.
Adult Classes
We offer classes in tap and ballet for adults. Catering for complete beginners, those who did classes as a child as well as those with a bit more experience. These are a great way of keeping the brain active as well as keeping fit and flexible and are an excellent way of meeting like-minded friends. In addition to our weekly classes, optional trips to the theatre are regularly arranged.

Hi, I'm Kathryn I grew up and danced in Cornwall with Annette School of Dancing in Camborne before going on to train in London at Stella Mann College between the age of 16 -19. At Stella Mann College I gained my teaching qualifications in RAD ballet and ISTD tap and modern alongside studying many genres of dance for 3 years whilst also achieving a level 4 Trinity National Diploma in Musical Theatre. After graduating, Kathryn went on to perform in various shows around Europe alongside teaching for different schools in and around London for 10 years.
In the summer of 2013 Kathryn started KH Dance Academy in Sunbury-on-Thames and successfully grew from a handful of students to 250 offering various styles of dance to both children and adults young and old. The dance school would work towards exams, awards, shows, pantomimes, other performance opportunities and run an annual summer workshop week in dance, drama, singing & craft. The school also won a Healthy Business Award in 2021.
After 10 years of running KHDA, Kathryn relocated back to Cornwall with her husband and two children in August 2023 to be closer to family. Since moving back I have been running KHDA for both children and adults in Truro alongside teaching for the Pendennis Community Centre in Falmouth and also choreographing for local theatre groups. As well as teaching RAD Ballet & ISTD Tap & Modern I also teach musical theatre, Silver swans ballet, senior seated exercise, zumba and Melody bear preschool dance classes.
Since moving back I have just started a new chapter in my teaching career to share my love and passion of dance to all, whilst nurturing and building on confidence in a fun and relaxed environment for anyone I teach. I am excited to share this journey with Lucy in taking on the Teresa Blee Dance School and to maintain and build upon the dance school in Helston that Teresa has passionately given to all over the years.

FounderBorn and raised in Cornwall, Lucy discovered her passion for dance at The Annette School of Dancing in Camborne - where she was also trained by the fabulous Debbie Johnson for a few years.
At 17, she moved to London to train at Performers College, earning a National Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre, along with a Foundation in Dance Instruction in I.S.T.D Tap and Modern.
Since graduating in 2006, Lucy has enjoyed a diverse career in theatre, television, and film, performing around the world before moving into choreography.
Lucy’s career began on cruise ships, where she performed across the South Pacific and Eastern and Western Caribbean, but after two contracts, London was calling.
She returned to London to pursue theatre, touring the UK and internationally in productions such as Strictly Tap Dance Fever and Man in the Mirror. She went on to perform in The Houdini Experience in London’s West End, Crazy for Gershwin (UK tour), and large-scale events such as The Royal Variety Performances, The London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, Clothes Show Live and Tonight at the Palladium with Bradley Walsh.
She has also had the opportunity to perform alongside various artists including Calvin Harris, The Noisettes, Flawless, Blue, Ashley Roberts, Chesney Hawkes, Pet Shop Boys, Dizzee Rascal, and Tinie Tempah. In 2014, she took on the role of Dance Captain for Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway Arena Tour.
Transitioning her career into film and television, Lucy then worked as an assistant choreographer on films such as Walt Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Universal’s Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, and ITV’s The Sound of Music Live.
She later co-choreographed Walt Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and was a choreographer for Apple TV’s Masters of the Air.
Lucy moved home to Cornwall in September 2024, and with a wealth of experience across the industry, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and inspiring the next generation of performers here.
She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue the legacy of Teresa Blee Dance alongside Kathryn, helping to nurture local talent and create a space where young dancers can grow, dream, and reach their full potential.

Dance TeacherI trained at London School of Dance and Drama and was awarded a first class diploma in Dance Studies and Dance Teaching as well as my ISTD teaching qualifications.
After training I danced abroad in both Greece and Italy and I loved travelling and experiencing new cultures. I taught in dance schools in Essex, Coventry and Hertfordshire and completed a Scene Painting and Prop Making Course.
In 1993 I moved to Cornwall to complete an Illustration course at Falmouth Art College. I fell in love with Cornwall and have made it my home ever since. I settled here and married Martin and we run a Coarse fishery – Middle Boswin Farm. We have 2 children, Frances and Robyn (Bobby), who have both loved dancing throughout their lives. They have grown up in our dance school family and have helped and supported my classes and the dance school in numerous ways.
When my children were young I trained to become a Preschool Assistant and gained my NVQ3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. I worked in the Preschool for 7 years and also took on Senco duties. I now work as a teaching assistant in a local primary school specialising in EYFS and working with the reception children.
I have taught dance in Helston for over 30 years for Teresa Blee Dance and am now delighted to be part of the Infinity Dance Cornwall team.
I teach Modern, Tap, Contemporary and the beginner’s ballet class. I have also run performance groups, choreography workshops, Summer School classes and choreographed for pantomimes and Amateur Dramatic shows.
I love introducing the joy of dancing to each new generation of children and watch them grow in confidence and ability as they learn new skills and progress through the school.

Dance Exams
We carry out exams several times throughout the year to encourage the students to realise their full potential. Exams are a great way of creating goals and marking progress throughout the syllabus.
Dance Exams are taken from Pre-Primary upwards. These are not compulsory and we will make sure students and parents are comfortable before entering for an exam.
